Frequently asked questions
Please feel free to call with any questions we have not answered.
Please feel free to bring as many outfits and props as you like! Children may wish to bring special toys or Teddy’s? Musical instruments or sports items (and clothing) can look great and make the pictures even more special in years to come. For any group shots we recommend you don’t dress in too much contrasting or clashing color. Make sure you are coordinated with each other or dress with white tops or maybe a similar tone of the same dark colours. Strong bright colours look great for individual pictures or whites.

👨👩👧 Family Photo Shoots
- What if my children won’t behave?
We don’t see bad behaviour — we see personality. Children being themselves is exactly what creates honest, joyful images. - My child won’t sit still or smile on demand.
We take our time and turn the session into a game, using play and fun things to do rather than asking children to sit or smile. - What if someone gets upset or cries?
That’s completely normal. We simply pause, reset, and continue when everyone feels comfortable again. - We’re awkward in front of the camera.
Almost everyone feels this way at first, and it disappears quickly once things feel relaxed. - What if my children are full of energy?
Energy is brilliant. Movement, laughter and play usually create the best photographs. - Do we need to know how to pose?
Not at all. We gently guide you while keeping everything natural. - What if we feel judged or self-conscious?
The studio is friendly, relaxed and completely judgement-free. - My kids never smile on cue.
That’s perfect — genuine smiles happen through play, not pressure. - What should we wear for the shoot?
We provide simple, helpful guidance so you feel confident beforehand. - What if one child dominates the session?
We make sure everyone gets their moment without forcing anything. - Can grandparents or extended family join in?
Yes — multi-generation photos are always welcome and often very special. - Can we bring the family dog?
Yes — family dogs are very welcome and often add warmth, fun and personality to the photos. - Will the shoot feel rushed?
No — sessions are designed to feel relaxed and unhurried. - What if my child is shy?
We gently build confidence at their pace, never forcing interaction. - My family is noisy and chaotic.
That energy often creates the most real and joyful images. - What if I don’t like how I look in photos?
We use flattering lighting, angles and relaxed direction, and we show you images as we go so you can see how you look during the session and leave feeling confident and happy. - Can we cuddle, laugh and play together?
Absolutely — that’s encouraged and often where the magic happens. - What if it feels awkward at the start?
That’s completely normal and fades very quickly. - Will my children get bored?
Sessions are fun, varied and built around play and interaction. - What if we don’t love any of the photos?
That’s very unlikely, but if your child was poorly, tired or simply not themselves on the day, we’re always happy to book you back in again a few weeks later.
