I set up Two Front Teeth Photography  in 2002 after 12 years of working as a commercial photographer.

Photography has been a passion of mine since the age of 10, when I would take photos on my dad’s camera. This passion led to me leaving school at 16 to start 4 years of college, first in Nottingham, and then 2 years in Gloucester. After completing the course, I got into my Nissan Sunbeam and drove to London! Working for £25.00 a day was tough but I worked for some of the biggest names in advertising. A typical day was shooting Pirelli billboards, or adverts for Robertson’s jam. We often photographed celebrities such as cila black and the Clarks family who owned one of the biggest food businesses in America.

My return to Gloucestershire was prompted by an offer to do the photography in a golfing brochure. The photography went well and I had my first paid job under my belt. The next 12 years saw my commercial photography grow, but I really missed photographing ‘real people’.

I have been fortunate enough to have photographed celebrities such as Emperor Rosko, Mike Read, Comedy actress Falicity Montague, Brian May of Queen, and a list of celebrity DJ’s. Although these experiences were all very exciting and satisfying, i have always had a desire to capture real people’s lives. Those who would cherish their photos for years to come. It all started when i photographed my own family, Heidi and our two kids Harry and Freya. Since then, Two Front Teeth has been my pride and joy.

Heidi is also fully involved in the business and spends much of her time retouching photographs, and making (some say) the finest coffee in Gloucestershire for our customers. Heidi also stretches all the canvasses, and leases with our local framers. We have had people say if there house was burning down it’s the photographs they would save first (I am sure they mean after the kids and pets). It’s wonderful to hear, although I do have to point out everything is backed up and could be reprinted in such an event!
